About

Hi there

This is a brand new squeaky clean blog about film photography / analogue photography as well as darkroom techniques and alternative photography processes.

My name is Ian Phillips-McLaren, I've been a photographer now for 30 years, I shoot mainly Fashion and Portrait photography for magazines and large clients. In the past I have also shot food and still life for magazines and  clients like make-up and perfume companies as well as large food companies.

I started my photographic journey shooting film, processing, developing and printing my own work. I also used to teach photography as artist in residence to the world famous The Glasgow School of Art.

I'm happy to say that I have de-digitized myself and rekindled my passion for Film Photography and want to share that passion with you, not just my own work but other work from film photographers that I find on the web.

I'm aiming to fill the blog with lots of interesting things about film, film processing, printing and shoots shot on film.

I'll also be looking to post interesting features on all kinds of analogue / film photography shot by other photographers.
